- Maundy Thursday (March 28, 2024): Officially declared a regular holiday!
- Good Friday (March 29, 2024): Another regular holiday for some well-deserved rest and reflection.
- Black Saturday (March 30, 2024): Designated as a Special Non-Working Day.
Employee Pay Guidelines (Regular Holidays):
- No Work, Still Get Paid: Employees who reported for work on the day before the holiday or were on paid leave are entitled to 100% of their regular pay even if they don't work on the holiday itself.
- Double Pay for Working on Holidays: If you do choose to work on Maundy Thursday or Good Friday, you'll earn double your regular pay (200% of your wage) for the first 8 hours.
Employee Pay Guidelines (Black Saturday):
- "No Work, No Pay" Applies (Generally): Black Saturday follows the "no work, no pay" principle. However, some companies may have special policies granting pay for this day. Check with your employer to see if their policy differs.
- Extra Pay for Working on Black Saturday: If you do work on Black Saturday, you'll get an additional 30% on top of your regular pay for the first 8 hours.
